BIO

I was born in New Castle, PA but raised in Erie. I have a wide variety of clinical experiences in many different settings.   

• Residency in Psychiatry and Fellowship in Child Psychiatry 1988 -1993
• Army Psychiatrist (active duty)  1988 - 2001
• Army Psychiatrist (US Army Reserves) 2001- 2018
• Private Practice in Manhattan, KS  2001-2003
• Assistant Professor at Univ of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Medical Director for Child Psychiatry at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic 2003-2009
• Staff Psychiatrist and Behavioral Health Medical Director at Erie VA Medical Center 2009-2018
• Part-time Psychiatrist for the Barber National Institute 2017-2022
• Private Practice at Presque Isle Mind Body Wellness Center 2019-2022 

I love to work as part of a team and be part of a group of individuals that have diverse backgrounds but who all share the vision that the key to health is mind, body, and soul.  I enjoy exercise and travel and am inspired by art, music, religion — and most of all — by many of the patients that I have worked with over the years.   They have taught me to remember that every day is a gift.
