Catrina Barry

I have been with Presque Isle Mind-Body Wellness Center since its opening in 2019. I was originally employed as the office psychiatric Registered Nurse and continued per diem as Registered Nurse while finishing my PMHNP program. I received my PMHNP Board Certification in October 2021 and started my practice at Presque Isle Mind-Body Wellness Center in January 2022.

I received my associate degree in nursing in 2007 from Mercyhurst University.

I received my bachelor's degree in nursing in 2017 from Mercyhurst University. I worked as a Home Health RN and found my niche in psychiatric care. I followed this and started working as a psychiatric RN at Barber Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic. While working in the psychiatric outpatient clinic I noticed the great demand for psychiatric care in my community and wanted to help my community even more. I then decided to start my journey as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and began the PMHNP program at Eastern Kentucky University. I received my master's in nursing – PMHNP in May 2021.

I am a member of the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.

My favorite part about working here at PIMBWC is our team and the office atmosphere. It is a welcoming, pleasant, and peaceful atmosphere with the most kindhearted and driven team. I love the holistic outlook of PIMBWC and treating our patients as a whole, considering their physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, reading, and traveling.
